Water Island Classical Music Festival

Providence Point, Water Island Local media icon Alexander Randall and piano virtuoso Julian Gargiulo team up to bring world-renowned musicians for the 12th annual Festival. The concert is free, if you manage to get there. And it is, almost literally, a walk in the park. Meet the "smashing newbie", Julliard violin prodigy Hae Ji Kim. Ferry from Crown Bay Marina is $10 roundtrip. The event is free, but please bring a donation toward artists' expenses. *Reservations must be made in advance. 10-year-old classical pianist Harmony Zhu is a prodigy known for her exceptional talents in both music and chess. Starting in 2012-- when she was 6!--she won the Na- tional First Place 7 year old category of the Canadian Music Competition to become the youngest winner in history, then beat out the 8 and 9 year olds in 2013 and 2014, making her the only participant in history to win First Place in older age categories for 3 years in a row.
